Ateez: In My Fantasy

Ateez Concert: In Your Fantasy at Desert Diamond Arena — August 12, 2025

A Concert Reflection

The day I returned from Georgia, I had little time to settle in before I had to get ready for the Ateez concert. My excitement was overwhelming. I wasn’t an Ateez stan before, but I can definitely say I am now.

I hadn’t listened to much of their music since the pandemic, but one song stayed with me: Bouncy. When I heard Ateez was going on tour this year, I told my best friend right away—we had to go. I’d heard so much about their concerts, how the vibe was sexy, groovy, and unforgettable. The theme this time was In Your Fantasy. I couldn’t help but wonder: What would my fantasy be?

Getting Ready for the Fantasy

For the night, I wore the lemon-drop inspired dress I had debuted at Marketing & Mimosas. It felt perfect for summer: bright, playful, and dreamy. My best friend and I managed to find great seats at the Desert Diamond Arena. Close enough to see every detail on stage, yet intimate enough to feel like the performance was meant just for us.

And then, the fantasy began. The show opened with Bouncy, the song that first sparked my curiosity about Ateez. From that moment, the energy was electric.

Music, Movement, and Magic

Ateez’s performance style is exactly what I imagined, intense, powerful, and highly choreographed. Their music relies on strong basslines, funky beats, and EDM-driven energy. At the same time, their songs have tropical, playful, and occasionally seductive undertones.

Watching them perform live brought these qualities to life in a way no video could ever show. Every move was precise yet elegant. Every beat vibrated through the floor.

But initially, I struggled. I wanted to capture everything: the lights, the dancing, the feeling but with my injured thumb and the pressure of trying to record it all, I felt disconnected from the moment. It wasn’t until Yeosang’s solo that everything changed.

I stopped filming. I just listened.

His voice washed over me, and for the first time that night, I felt completely present. No screen. No distractions. Just the music. Just the moment.

From that moment, I released my worries. I danced, vibed, and laughed, feeling an overwhelming sense of freedom. My ideal was to immerse myself completely in happiness and lose all sense of myself.

The Fantasy Still Lingers

The night was truly memorable. Each song from the powerful energy of Wonderland to the groovy beat of The Real, left a lasting impression on the room. I finally understood why Ateez concerts are described as experiences you feel more deeply than simply watch.

To Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho, thank you!

“The fantasy we shared still lingers on. Shall we begin the spell that makes us happy? Are you ready to feel it? All I need is your voice.”

And in that moment, I realized my fantasy had already begun.

Always dreaming,
Deja
