The Tender Shift into November

Friday night was cozy and delightful. A simple Halloween at home.
Comedy-horror movies played softly in the background, with Phoenix Suns games and the World Series flickering on the screen.
A warm plate of pot roast and cabbage was enjoyed, and to finish the night, fried Oreos dusted with powdered sugar, soft, warm, and melting. Remembering a perfect, relaxing evening.

I woke up on November 1st feeling a calm sense of readiness in my spirit.

I carefully took down the Halloween decorations, packed away the play and imagination, and made room for what is to come.

This past Saturday evening, I enjoyed the company of some of my favorite people, laughing, sharing old stories, and feeling genuinely seen. We visited Little Rituals and Hanny’s, and we watched city lights reflect off glass.
Time seemed to slow down, creating a gentle, kind atmosphere.

At that moment, I realized how much I needed space. Space from the nonstop social media noise, space to listen to myself again, and space just to be.

I’m starting this month by expressing gratitude.

Gratitude for rest.
Gratitude for laughter.
Gratitude for quiet presence.
Gratitude for the gentle return to myself.

Here’s to a November filled with gentleness, warmth, and growth.

Always Dreaming,

Deja 🤍
